In a somber announcement, the Bayelsa State Police Command conveyed the untimely demise of Assistant Commissioner of Police, Oluseye Odunmbaku. ACP Odunmbaku, who had been overseeing operations within the command, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

 

The news was relayed through a succinct statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, Asinim Butswat. It conveyed the Command’s profound regret at the loss, highlighting ACP Odunmbaku’s role as the Assistant Commissioner of Police in the Department of Operations. The statement also noted that a condolence register has been made available at the command headquarters in Ovom, Yenagoa.

 

Sources close to the matter revealed that ACP Odunmbaku was found in his residence within the state capital, Yenagoa, after reportedly collapsing. The late ACP was a dedicated and respected member of the police force, whose contributions to law enforcement in Bayelsa will be remembered and revered.
