Sanwo-olu appoints two new Cabinet members. On Wednesday, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu swore in two new members of his executive cabinet.

Mr. Abiodun Ogunleye, Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, and Mr. Olufemi Daramola, Special Adviser on Infrastructure, are among the new cabinet members.

During the event in the Exco Chamber, Lagos House, Ikeja, Sanwo-Olu asked the newly appointed cabinet members to get to work right away and to take their responsibilities to an enviable level in order to meet the yearnings and expectations of Lagos ians.

He stated that the new cabinet members had been carefully chosen and will clearly offer value.

The governor stated that the two new executive members have the credentials to carry their tasks to an exceptional level.

“Engr. Daramola is a young man I’ve followed up on, and I’ve seen his tenacity and commitment to ensuring that he gives his all to the assignments and responsibilities that have been assigned to him.”

“He demonstrates to all other public officers and civil servants that the Lagos State Executive Council is not solely for external appointees.” You can go to this level if you have done well and we see it.

“I’m sure there are other Permanent Secretaries who aspire to this level.” We feel that as a former Permanent Secretary with whom we are all too familiar, he (Daramola) would offer a wealth of knowledge to his position as Special Adviser in the Office of Infrastructure.

“Mr. Biodun Ogunleye is a man full of energy.” “It’s no coincidence that he’s the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources,” he explained.

The governor stated that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources was significant since the government had led the discourse for the sector’s unbundling to become a reality.

“As a result, we have carefully brought in someone whom we believe can assist in achieving and realizing the energy.”

“The needs and aspirations of Lagosians are that every household wants power.”

“They want a sector that will completely meet the yearning of the citizens and we believe with his (Ogunleye) expertise, industry knowledge and wealth of experience, we hope that he will hit the ground running knowing fully well the expectations of that office,” he told reporters.

Ogunleye expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in the Lagos State Government in his Vote of Assurance.

He assured that they would do all possible to guarantee that the goals of the ‘Themes’ agenda were met.
