As the vote-counting process nears conclusion, opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu addressed the cameras for the first time this evening.
In a brief speech, he claimed that the ruling AK Party was undermining the system by filing objections to results in which Kilicdaroglu received more votes:
“Do not obstruct the will of the nation.” Allow the findings to come in so that everyone is aware of them.
“The country will no longer tolerate instability.” You cannot manage the situation through manipulation; do not be terrified of popular will.”
He once again urged party volunteers and officials to keep an eye on the count, saying: “We are here until every vote is counted.”
