Godwin Ogar, a newly elected member of the House of Representatives under the Labour Party, expressed his admiration for the intelligence of President Bola Tinubu.

Ogar shared his pride in listening to a man who is committed to serving the Nigerian people. He made these remarks during an interview with journalists on Friday, following a meeting between the newly elected National Assembly members and Tinubu at the State House.

The purpose of the meeting was to address the leadership crisis among the lawmakers. Ogar, who represents the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency of Abia State, expressed his positive impressions of Tinubu during this interaction.

Ogar, “Today is my best day; today I’m so happy that I’m an elected member, seeing my President talking. In fact, I never knew that this man was so intelligent. He is so prepared to serve this country. During my meeting with him, I saw the love, the character, the charisma, and the belief that Nigeria can be a better nation again”.

The elected lawmaker from the Labour Party, Godwin Ogar, emphasized that he is not bothered by political party differences. His primary concern lies in making decisions that contribute to the growth and development of the country. Ogar’s focus is on prioritizing the welfare and progress of the nation, transcending party affiliations for the greater good of Nigeria. “For now, the party is not the issue; we’re talking about building the nation,” he added.

You will recall, On February 25, Godwin Amobi Ogar was declared the winner of the poll by the Independent Electoral Commission, after securing a total of 11,822 votes. His closest rival, Nkiru Onyejeocha from the All Progressives Congress, received 8,752 votes. Ogah’s victory marked the end of Onyejeocha’s 16-year tenure in the position, as he emerged as the new representative for the constituency.
