The former Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Mohammed Dauda, has not been reinstated, according to the agency.

The agency stated that Dauda never held the position of Director General of the National Intelligence Agency. He only acted as Director General after Ayo Oke’s tenure ended.

Ahmed Abubakar is the agency’s substantive DG, according to the NIA.On Friday, the Head of the agency’s legal department, A.H Wakili, stated that the National Industrial Court and the Court of Appeal addressed the dismissal of Mohammed Dauda as a Director of NIA due to multiple infractions and breaches.

He is waiting for the certified copy of the Court of Appeal‘s judgement to take informed action.
