Audu Ibrahim Bauchi’s Professor is dead. Abdu Ibrahim, Bauchi State’s first Neurosurgery Professor, has died.
After a long illness, he died on Thursday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital in Bauchi.
Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, who is now on pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, expressed condolences to the late professor’s family, friends, and acquaintances.
He also called his death a “monumental loss” for not just his immediate family, but also for Bauchi State and the country as a whole.
The governor stated in a message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, and made available to media on Friday that the deceased made significant contributions to the growth of Bauchi’s health sector.
“The late Professor Abdu Ibrahim will be greatly remembered by the citizens of the State because of his dogged commitment and enormous contributions in the area of healthcare delivery system since the creation of Bauchi State,” Gidado said in a statement.
“As Bauchi State’s first Professor of Neurosurgery, the late Professor Abdu Ibrahim was a nationalist and a public health care icon.” His passing is a huge loss for the entire country.
“Governor Bala Mohammed expresses his heartfelt condolences to members of his immediate family, friends, colleagues, associates, and the entire Bauchi State people on behalf of his family, the government, and the good people of Bauchi State.”
“He prayed that Allah would bless him with Aljanna firdaus and grant his family and the entire citizens of Bauchi State the fortitude to bear the loss.”
