Bauchi governor election affirmed. The Bauchi State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has confirmed Senator Bala Mohammed as the legitimately elected governor of the state.
The decision was made by a three-person panel led by P.T Kwahar.
The panel dismissed the petition of the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, Sadique Abubakar, a former Chief of Air Staff, challenging the re-election of Mohammed for a second term.
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has approved the appointment of 17 special advisers.
The notice of appointment was made known on Tuesday in a statement signed by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Muhktar Gidado.
He described those appointed as highly accomplished and dedicated professionals that will provide guidance and support in key government operations.
Gidado said the appointees are expected to bring their wealth of experience to bear while carrying out their respective roles.
“To re-energize the government machinery and further strengthen the administration’s commitment to delivering on his promises and enhancing good governance, His Excellency, Sen. Bala Mohammed, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, has approved the appointment of distinguished, highly accomplished, and dedicated professionals to serve as his special advisers to provide guidance and support in key areas of Government operations,” he said.
