Former Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has been appointed as the new Chair of the Board of Directors of Climate Action Platform for Africa.

According to the founder of the platform James Mwangi, Osinbajo Osinbajo will play a pivotal role in guiding CAP-A through its next phase of growth and its mission to unleash Africa’s potential as a global hub for climate action.

The statement reads. “We are deeply honored to have Prof. Osinbajo join the CAP-A Board of Directors as Chair to assist with the next phase of our growth and our mission of unlocking Africa’s potential as a global hub for climate action.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has accepted the role of Chair of the Board of Directors for the Climate Finance Accelerator for Africa (CAP-A). His appointment is seen as a significant step in advancing climate action on the continent, particularly in alignment with the outcomes of the inaugural Africa Climate Summit, which called for accelerated climate initiatives.
