Zulum orders probe into commissioner’s death. Police in Maiduguri have launched an urgent investigation into the sudden death of the state’s Commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Ibrahim Garba.

Garba died on Saturday morning in Maiduguri, according to a statement by Governor Babagana Zulum’s spokesman, Isa Gusau.

The investigation, according to Gusau, in a statement, is on the behest of Governor Zulum and the state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Yusuf, who was at the house of the deceased to commiserate with his family.

“Governor Babagana Umara Zulum received the news with intense shock and profound grief,” Gusau said in the statement, adding, “The governor mourns alongside the late commissioner’s family, other loved ones, friends, associates, and members of the State Executive Council.”
