28 traffic offenders arrested in Ondo by FRSC. The Ondo State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps claimed it had arrested 28 people in the state in the last month for alleged traffic violations.
The arrest was made in Akure, the state capital, and its surrounds, according to the sector command.
Mr. Ezekiel Son’Allah, the FRSC sector commander, said this on Wednesday while addressing in Akure.
“Driving against traffic is a very serious offense,” Son’Allah stated. We have now arrested 28 criminals, and I would want to urge motorists to obey traffic laws.
“It’s stuff like this that easily leads to crashes and usually ends in fatalities.” To keep our lanes, we must be self-disciplined. People should avoid driving against traffic because it is usually risky.
“It’s more prevalent among motorcycle riders.” However, we continue to urge all road users to avoid using one route because it is closer to their destination. We want to be secure, and in order to be safe, everyone must avoid pursuing one path.”
Son’Allah also reminded motorists to always be professional and to navigate to the appropriate part of the road in order to stay on the right track.
“Don’t drink and drive during the ember season.” Respect FRSC personnel and other security agencies on the roadways because they are there to guard and save you from unforeseen occurrences, not to victimize you,” the FRSC boss said.
Meanwhile, personnel from the Nigerian Navy Forward Operating Base in Igbokoda, Ondo State, apprehended Tosin Wanlele, 24, for suspected cult-related activities in the region.
On behalf of the Commanding Officer, Navy Captain Wasuku Alushi, the Executive Officer of the base revealed this when parading the suspect at Igbokoda on Wednesday.
He claimed that the arrest was part of ongoing efforts to combat cultism and other criminal activity in the military’s area of operations.
“The suspect, along with others who are currently at large, has been harassing and intimidating passers-by with dangerous weapons,” the officer stated. As a result, based on credible intelligence, we responded and arrested the culprit, Tosin Wanlele.
“It may also be of interest to you that the suspect has been confirmed by the head of the Igbokoda vigilante to be a notorious and well-known cultist who has been terrorizing the people of Igbokoda for a long time.”
“As a result, he was turned over to the Department of State Security for further investigation.” It is worth noting that the base has continued to work with other security agencies in Ondo State to halt the tide of cultism inside its operational area.”
