118 Civil servants promoted in Kano. The Kano State Civil Service Commission has approved the promotion of 118 senior and subordinate personnel from 13 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
This is stated in a statement issued by the Civil Service Commission’s Director of Public Enlightenment, Musa Garba, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent on Friday.
According to Garba, the advancements were accepted at the commission’s last meeting.
He further stated that the commission authorized 12 transfer cases and 47 deployment cases to other MDAs.
The announcement also disclosed that three disciplinary cases from various organizations were dealt with during the sitting.
“A total of 379 people have been promoted since the 23rd Commission was established in August of this year; 74 have been transferred, while 61 have been deployed to various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.”
“Others were change of cadre (two), change of name (one), and advancement (one), while the remaining three were disciplinary cases,” the statement went on to say.
Garba consequently urged the promoted staff to repay the favor by increasing output to get the best possible outcome.
The chairman of the CSC, Dr Shehu Minjibir, complimented Governor Abba Yusuf for his dedication to enhancing the welfare of workers in the state while praising staff members of the commission for their commitment to ensuring the success of the exercise.
The state government approved the promotion of 117 senior officials in the state civil service at various grade levels and cadres in June.
