Workers and pensioners received their 13th month pay and pensions in the early hours of Wednesday, December 27, 2023, according to a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare.

“The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has paid the 13 month salaries and pensions of workers and pensioners in the state,” the commissioner stated.

“Governor Godwin Obaseki has kept his promise to pay the 13month’s salary on Workers Day.” The governor’s gift illustrates his administration’s dedication to the well-being of workers and retirees.

“The payment of the 13th month salaries and pensions will help in ameliorating the hardship caused by the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government.”
