Protesters storm NAFDAC, oppose ban of alcohol in sachet
Today, February 6, 2024, protesters stormed the office of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control to demand the rescinding of the alcoholic drink in sachet ban.
Recall that the Director-General of the Agency, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye in a press conference in Abuja, declared the ban yesterday, February 6, 2024. The protest was controlled by officers of the Nigerian Police Force, who have now been stationed at the NAFDAC Office in Isolo. At the time of the report, it was not clear if police officers would be stationed in NAFDAC offices across the state.
