Supporters of the Super Eagles in Kano are facing a dilemma as the team’s official jersey has become scarce and exorbitantly priced. Daily Trust reports a surge in demand for the jersey, leading to shortages in the market and inflated prices.

According to reports, the jersey, typically priced at N5,000, is now being sold for as high as N15,000, making it increasingly difficult for fans to procure. Usman Muhammad, one of the fans affected by the scarcity, expressed frustration over the situation, noting that he had to resort to purchasing the jersey from Kaduna at an even higher price.

Junior Lukas, another fan, voiced his disappointment at being unable to afford the inflated prices, despite his desire to support the team wearing the official jersey.

The Super Eagles are gearing up for their fourth AFCON victory as they prepare to face Ivory Coast, the host nation, in the final showdown.

Reports suggest that the scarcity of jerseys is the result of traders deliberately withholding stock to drive up prices for profit.
