Bomber strikes wedding in Borno, Six dead
A suicide bomber targeted a wedding venue in Tashan Mararaba, Gwoza town, Borno State, resulting in the deaths of six people and injuries to many others.
The victims, all civilians, were returning from the celebration when the explosion occurred near a busy motorpark. According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the bomber, a young woman in her early twenties, detonated her device amid the gathering, causing widespread chaos and destruction.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene to assist the injured and transport them to hospitals in Gwoza. Medical personnel reported that at least six individuals were killed, and 15 others sustained injuries in the attack.
