Police arrest Anambra young billionaire, B-LORD, over alleged sponsorship of terrorism
Popular Anambra billionaire, Linus Williams Ifejika, widely known as B-LORD, was arrested by Nigeria Police Force operatives in Abuja on July 16. B-LORD, the Managing Director of BLord Group, BLord Real Estate Ltd., BLord Jetpaye Ltd., and Billpoint Technology, faces allegations of cryptocurrency fraud, terrorism funding, aiding internet fraud, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the arrest, citing complaints lodged against B-LORD’s companies. The statement indicated that the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) is investigating the allegations, emphasizing a commitment to securing Nigeria’s cyber space.
B-LORD had previously been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in August 2020 but was acquitted by the Enugu State Federal High Court in May 2022.
