Samsung has taken a bold step to compete with Apple by introducing the Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Galaxy Ring. These new devices will officially launch on July 24, alongside the Galaxy Watch7.

The 47-mm Galaxy Watch Ultra, designed for sports and health enthusiasts, features a triathlon-friendly “Multi-sports tile” and an AI-powered “Functional Threshold Power” measure for cycling. Samsung has equipped it with a Titanium Grade 4 frame and 10ATM water resistance for extreme durability, and it includes a “Quick Button” for easy use.

Samsung’s new smartwatch aims to rival the Apple Ultra Watch, building on the advanced health monitoring features and powerful hardware of the Galaxy Watch7. This includes the “Workout Routine,” “Body Composition,” and Sleep Apnea tools.

Samsung’s Galaxy Ring focuses on health monitoring, tracking, and personalized insights while being worn on a finger. It will be priced at $399.99 in the U.S. and uses AI to analyze sleep metrics and provide an “Energy Score” with recommendations. The ring also offers heart rate and activity-related insights.

The Galaxy Ring, set to debut later this month, will join the market alongside similar products like the Oura Ring. Samsung highlighted the interconnectivity of its devices, noting that the ring can turn off a phone alarm and extend battery life when paired with the Watch.

Samsung will release its second-quarter financial results on July 31. In the first quarter, the company reported $52.4 billion in total revenue and $4.8 billion in operating profit.
