Residents blamed Aregbesola for floods in Lagos. Residents of Shasha in Alimosho Local Government Area, Lagos State, have complained about floods and blamed the former state Commissioner of Works, Rauf Aregbesola.

Muftao Oguntade, the Baale of Shasha, stated that Aregbesola had commanded the dam from Ajisebiara-Makka to Shasha to be released.

This situation has been ongoing for some time, and multiple complaints have been lodged at Alausa, but the neighborhood has received no assistance.

A man who built Elegbede Road brought a proposal to Aluasa that would address the flood problem and wrote multiple letters requesting permission to eliminate the flood threat on his own, but he was ignored.

Since then, the flood has claimed lives and ruined property.

In another development reported by our correspondent in Ondo, residents of the Irese village in Ondo State’s Ifedore Local Government Area have urged the state government to find answers to the community’s ongoing flooding.

According to the report, flooding has taken over the town’s highways, making vehicular transit to and from the hamlet impossible.

Residents complained that the town’s lone ‘tarred road’ had been in disrepair for years and had been impassable since the rainy season began.
