Tinubu travels, on a private visit to London. President Bola Tinubu left Paris for London on Saturday for a “private visit.”
“Tinubu, who was originally scheduled to return to Abuja on Saturday, will now proceed to London, United Kingdom, for a short private visit,” his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communication, and Strategy, Dele Alake, said in a statement on Saturday.
The message is titled, ‘After a successful Paris outing, President Tinubu is traveling to London on a private visit.’
According to Alake, the “President will be back in the country in time for the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir festival.”
Tinubu wrapped up his official trip to Paris on Friday, where he attended the ‘A New Global Financing Pact’ event sponsored by French President Emmanuel Macron.
Aside from his participation in the event, the President met with fellow heads of state and government, global business leaders, and chief executives of prominent multilateral and development financial institutions from across the world on the sidelines.
According to the Presidential Spokesman, the conference provided the Nigerian leader with the chance to project on a worldwide stage his advocacy for fiscal space expansion and economic justice for Africa as the globe accelerates the pace of energy transformation.
The president also emphasized the importance of dealing with the grave concerns of poverty and climate change.
