Tech job oppurtunities for Nigerians Canada declares. Canada has introduced the country’s first-ever immigration tech talent mechanism, which will create new job chances for Nigerians and others.

The new job openings come just a few days after Germany passed an immigrant law designed to encourage more people from outside the European Union to come to work in the country.

According to Toronto News, the talent plan unveiled at the 2023 Collision Conference in Toronto contains new and improved methods to help Canadian businesses survive in a competitive world.

“Over the course of this year, Canada will be developing a specific stream for some of the world’s most highly talented people who will be able to come to Canada to work for tech companies whether they have a job offer or not,” said Sean Fraser, Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship.

“We are going to launch a digital Nomads strategy that will allow people with a foreign employer to come to Canada and work for up to six months,” he added.

Fraser stated that brilliant people will live in towns throughout the country and spend money, and if they land job opportunities while they are here, they will be permitted to stay and work.

“Finally, we have been closely monitoring what has been going on in the US tech sector, where we have seen a public narrative about layoffs.” “We’ve been talking about opportunities in private,” he added.

The minister stated that from July 16, a stream would be established that will allow 10,000 H-1B visa holders in the United States to come and work in Canada.

“The reality is that you have ideas, but you lack talent.” You’ve told us, and we’ve been listening. We will do everything possible to promote Canada as a destination where your ideas may become a reality,’ he said.

Canada’s aging population and decreasing birth rate have resulted in a declining labor force, compelling the country to step up efforts to recruit significant numbers of young, dynamic immigrants by enacting immigration-friendly legislation.

According to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada data, the country received 437,120 Permanent Residents (PRs) in 2022, a roughly 8% increase over the total number of PRs in 2021.

In Nigeria, it increased by 41.9 percent to 22,130 from 15,595 the previous year.

The Canadian federal government revealed last year a major plan to accept 500,000 immigrants per year by 2025, with about 1.5 million new immigrants expected to arrive in the country over the next three years.

“We’re excited about the ambitious immigration goals we’ve set because they’re more than just numbers—they’re strategic.” “With this strategy, we’re aiming for newcomers who can help cement Canada’s position as a world leader in a variety of emerging technologies,” Fraser explained.

Canada introduced new steps last month to make it simpler for family of recent immigrants to migrate to the country, only days after the UK imposed restrictions on foreign students bringing their families into the country beginning next year.

That same month, the country declared that its express entry program will now use a category-based selection system to assist alleviate labor shortages and promote the economy.
