Tinubu asks Muslims to pray for Nigeria and his administration.
President Bola Tinubu has called on Muslims across Nigeria to pray for the nation, emphasizing its current critical moment. He stated that his government is actively taking necessary measures to ensure the security and economic viability of the country.
In a statement titled ‘Eid-El-Maulud: Imbibe the virtues of Prophet Muhammad,’ signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu urged citizens to provide their full support through patriotism, patience, and prayers.
Tinubu expressed confidence in a brighter future for Nigeria and extended his warm wishes to Muslims in Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud. He encouraged them to live by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad and emphasized the significance of using this period for introspection and fervent prayers, not just for celebration.
“Adherents should make concerted efforts to follow Prophet Muhammad’s teachings.”
“There are great lessons of devotion, perseverance, tolerance, humility, and selflessness that we can all learn from the life of the Prophet,” the president said.
The president advised religious leaders to use the time to pray for the country and to encourage their followers to draw relevant lessons from Prophet Muhammad’s life in their devotion to the country.
