Nigerian scholars moved down to morrocco. Under the Federal Ministry of Education’s Bilateral Education Agreement, 83 Nigerian scholars will travel to Morocco.

Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education, stated during the departure briefing that the selection of the academics was in keeping with President Bola Tinubu’s revived Hope program.

Mamman also stated that the ministry has expanded its development partners, with several of them now granting scholarships to Nigerians.

“Your selection as scholars is part of a larger plan of deepening President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which ensures that brilliant Nigerians, especially those who cannot afford to study programs that are not readily available in Nigeria, are supported to get necessary education,” he said.

“I am happy to inform you that in spite of the global economic meltdown, the number of our development partners has increased and many of them now offer scholarships to Nigeria. Hungary, China, Russia, Algeria, Romania, Morocco, Serbia, Mexico, Egypt, and Venezuela are among the most active countries, while Macedonia, Poland, South Korea, Greece, Japan, and Turkey are among the least active.

“In order to reciprocate their goodwill, Nigeria has previously offered scholarship awards to China and Romania, and hopes to reactivate the gesture as the country and others express interest.” As you prepare to travel to a foreign land today, many of you might be leaving your parents for the first time, while virtually all of you would be leaving for a foreign land.

“As a result, I must advise you not to see this as a liberation and to refrain from doing things that would be a disgrace to you, your parents, and the country.” Nigeria is investing much in you, with the expectation that the returns will be manifested in your return to assist bring your country ahead.

“Living in a distant country is not the same as living in Nigeria. You must learn to follow the laws of wherever you are studying, and those of you who are going to the same place, I will advise you to learn to be your brother’s keeper. Most significantly, you must notify the Nigerian Embassy in Rabat of your presence. Based on our experiences in Ukraine, this is critical.”
