Somtochukwu Okwuoha
40 month jail in Uk for Nigerian student that threatened terrorism . Somtochukwu Okwuoha, a 26-year-old Nigerian Master’s student at Dundee University in Scotland, has been sentenced to 40 months in jail for making terrorist threats against the school’s personnel and students, according to the BBC.
Okwuoha, an international energy studies student, will also be deported after being found guilty of the charge by a Peth Sheriff Court.
According to witnesses, the student claimed to have a military background and was capable of creating explosives and unleashing a fatal virus on the city.
Okwuoha, who arrived in the UK in 2021, also alleged that he had enlisted the help of the terror group ISIS to destroy the institution and had informed workers of his plot to hit the city with a chemical attack.
William Wood, the Sheriff of Nottingham, stated, “Your presence in the United Kingdom is not conducive to the public good, and I make a recommendation for your deportation in due course.”
“You were abusive towards her and tried to have her removed from her university course,” he said after threatening a fellow female student who resisted his advances.
“When the university decided to suspend you from your course, you turned your attention to the faculty.”
“You threatened mass murder, terrorism, said you would plant bombs and use biological weapons,” the accusation went on to say.
Okwuoha, a prisoner in Perth, was found guilty of threatening to kill university employees and undertaking terrorist acts between December 2021 and June 2022.
He was found guilty of threatening mass murder, employing biological weapons, disclosing personnel information to international authorities, and claiming to have hidden bombs.
He was also convicted guilty of threatening police officers with beheadings and planting bombs at Dundee University.
‘Blood spill’ danger
Keith Mackle, now 58 and a retired director of student services, said in Perth Sheriff Court that he became aware of “serious concerns” in the autumn of 2021.
He said that staff members received terrorist-related emails.
“A massive bomb explosion is expected at the University of Dundee.” I have requested that ISIS militants put bombs on campus.
“I can assure you that a large number of staff and students will perish.” 9/11 will be a farce in comparison to what will occur.
“Blood will spill and flesh will be scattered,” said another eyewitness.
Shane Taylor, an accommodation officer, testified in court that Okwuoha accused him of racism and threatened to exterminate Scottish people as retaliation.
