Governor’s gesture: Ogun workers receive buses.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Ogun State, Hammed Benco, has praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for his recent act of generosity towards workers in the state.
Benco expressed his gratitude during the handover ceremony of two new 18-seater buses to the NLC and the National Union of Local Government Employees at the Governor’s Office in Abeokuta. He lauded Governor Abiodun for his consistent support and dedication to improving the welfare of workers.
“We are deeply appreciative of our governor for honoring his commitments and demonstrating genuine concern for the welfare of workers,” said Benco. “His actions speak volumes about his dedication to the well-being of the people of Ogun State.”
The NLC chairman assured the governor of the workers’ unwavering loyalty and pledged their full support towards the realization of the state’s developmental goals under the “Building Our Future Together” mantra.
In his remarks, Governor Abiodun emphasized that the provision of the buses was in line with his promise to enhance the operational efficiency of the two unions. He reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing the welfare of civil servants in Ogun State.
Representing the governor, Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele reiterated the importance of mobility for union representatives to effectively carry out their duties. She called on civil servants to continue supporting the present administration’s efforts towards sustainable development in the state.
