Kaduna jubilates as 137 abducted Schoolchildren return safely
In a moment of relief and celebration, 137 schoolchildren who were kidnapped from Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State, have been reunited with their families. The children arrived at the Government House in Kaduna, marking the end of a harrowing ordeal that began on March 7, 2024. Their release was confirmed by the Kaduna State Government in a statement issued by Governor Uba Sani. He expressed gratitude for their safe return, emphasizing that their well-being remains a top priority for the state. Initially, reports suggested that 287 children had been abducted, but the governor clarified the number, stating that it was 137.
This clarification aims to ensure accurate information dissemination and avoid unnecessary panic. The joyful reunion serves as a beacon of hope, highlighting the resilience and unity of the community in the face of adversity.
