Amotekun apprehends man for allegedly keeping Osun housewife as sex slave
A 35-year-old man, Abayomi Babalola, has been apprehended by operatives of the Amotekun Corps in Osun State for allegedly using black magic to keep a housewife as a sex slave for three weeks.
According to Yusuf Idowu, the spokesperson for Osun Amotekun Corps, the suspect, residing in Modakeke, utilized a magic ring provided by a cleric to coerce the victim, known only as Sofiyat, out of her husband’s house and relocate her to Modakeke, where she was kept against her will.
Luck ran out for Babalola when he abandoned the victim by the roadside in Campus Area, Ile-Ife, last week Friday. The victim regained consciousness and raised an alarm, attracting the attention of Amotekun operatives.
Upon hearing Sofiyat’s ordeal, the Amotekun operatives traced Babalola to his hideout in Sekona and arrested him.
Babalola confessed to using charms obtained from a herbalist in Sekona to control Sofiyat, who had initially approached him for assistance in selling palm oil. He admitted to coercing her into leaving her husband’s house and locking her in his house in Modakeke, where he would visit and sexually abuse her at random intervals.
The suspect has been transferred to the custody of the Department of State Services for further interrogation and prosecution, as confirmed by the Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi (retd.).
