Hailed by his compatriots abroad, Onakoya kicked off the challenge amidst fervent support from fellow Nigerians, including the acclaimed singer Adekunle Gold. The event, unfolding at the bustling Times Square in New York City, commenced at 10 am on Wednesday, April 17, with Onakoya’s determination set to propel him through 58 hours of relentless play. His aim? To emerge victorious without a single defeat, eclipsing the current record set by Norwegian players in 2018.
