The Director of Media and Publicity for the dissolved All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, has reacted to speculations on social media that the recent appointment of service chiefs is nepotism.
Bayo Onanuga said there was no nepotism in the appointments of the Service chiefs and insisted that they follow federal character. He disclosed it through his Verified Twitter handle shortly after the announcement of the appointment. He analyzed the appointment to confirm that they followed federal character as required by law.

He said “For those accusing the Tinubu government of nepotism, the Chief of Naval Staff Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla is from Igbo Eze North LGA of Enugu State. Chief of Intelligence is from Cross River. ” “Critics should try to dig for information before rushing to judgment.” he stated.
