U.S will host FIFA Club World Cup 2025. FIFA announced that the United States will host the expanded Club World Cup in 2025. On Friday, the world football governing body confirmed that the United States will host the tournament with 32 clubs.
FIFA plans to expand the men’s Club World Cup from seven to 32 teams, which led to the decision. At the time, Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President, announced that the tournament would become a quadrennial competition instead of an annual event.
Infantino praised the US for its “infrastructure” and “massive local interest” when it was chosen as the host for the CONCACAF giants, citing them as important factors in the decision.
Infantino stated that the U.S is the perfect host to kick off the new global tournament, the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. The tournament will be the highest level of elite professional men’s club football and has the necessary infrastructure and significant local interest. He was excited about top clubs from around the world participating and fans from every continent bringing passion to the United States for this significant milestone in FIFA’s mission to globalize football.
Earlier, the organizers announced the allocation of slots for the 2025 tournament. Africa got four places, while Europe received the highest share of twelve. Saudi Arabia will host the final seven-team Club World Cup from December 12 to 22. After this, a 32-team competition will be introduced.
Real Madrid, the Spanish powerhouse, aims to defend their title as the defending champions in this year’s tournament.
