Kano state governor set to prioritize industrialization. Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritizing industrialization, energy, security, and climate change measures.

The governor made the remarks while welcoming participants from the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, who paid him a courtesy visit on Monday.

The participants are in Kano for a study visit.

Governor Yusuf, who was represented by his Deputy, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, complimented the Senior Executive Course 45 participants for their participation in the program.

This is said in a statement made available to The PUNCHUNCH on Tuesday morning by Ibrahim Garba Shu’aibu, the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor.

The governor, according to Gwarzo, is eagerly awaiting the participants’ report and has “assured that the state government will diligently implement their findings and recommendations to bolster the state’s industrialisation, energy, security, and climate change status.”

The group was led by the Director General of NIPSS, Prof Ayo Omotayo, who expressed gratitude to Governor Yusuf for the warm welcome.

He stated that their main goal in Kano is to meet with key stakeholders involved in industrialization.

He stated that the group wants to examine and identify difficulties encountered by Kano State companies, particularly in areas such as power and climate change, with an emphasis on understanding their impact on the lives of ordinary inhabitants, and that the group intends to propose intervention methods.

The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Baffa Abdullahi Bichi, expressed gratitude to NIPSS for selecting Kano State as one of the seven states for their study visit.

He assured the delegation that the state government would provide all necessary support and resources to facilitate their research, ensuring the generation of valuable findings for effective implementation within the state.

Franka Nwaneka, Comptroller of Immigration and SEC 45 participant, expressed gratitude to the Kano state government and people for the warm welcome.

Nwaneka promised to use their full abilities and capacities on the study tour in order to achieve productive results.

The celebration finished with the participants presenting mementos to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who was met by his Deputy, Comr. Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo.
