Soludo gives student with highest UTME score scholarship. Miss Nkechinyere Umeh, the best performing candidate in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations, has received a scholarship from Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.
Soludo stated that the gesture came after JAMB announced Umeh from Anambra State as the highest scorer with a total of 360 in the examination.
The governor commended the outstanding student on her outstanding performance on behalf of the state.
This is said in a statement made on Tuesday by Mr Christian Aburime, Soludo’s Press Secretary.
“Following the recent JAMB declaration of Miss Nkechinyere Umeh from Anambra State as the highest scorer with a cumulative mark of 360 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has congratulated the remarkable student on doing the state proud with her exceptional performance,” according to the statement.
“To commemorate Umeh’s achievement, Soludo announced a well-deserved scholarship for her to study any course of her choice at Anambra state’s Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.”
“The scholarship will not only serve as a token of the state government’s appreciation for her hard work, but it will also provide her with the opportunity to pursue her dreams and contribute to the state’s development in the future.”
While wishing Umeh ongoing academic success, Soludo also encouraged other young Anambra students in the state and throughout the country.
He advised them to be inspired by Umeh’s remarkable achievement and to take advantage of the State’s more conducive learning environment to strive for excellence.
