Jigawa pays students registration fee

The payment of registration fees for Jigawa State undergraduate students enrolled in various courses at Federal University, Dutse (FUD), Bayero University, Kano (BUK), Kano State University of Technology (KUST), and University of Maiduguri has been authorized by Governor Umar Namadi.

The total amount of One Hundred and Sixty-Seven Million Twenty-Four Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty Naira (N167,024,950.00) has been allocated for this purpose. This decision by the Council aligns with the current administration’s policy to assist parents with limited income in managing the increased registration fees for their children.

Likewise, the Council has given approval for an immediate revision of the bursary scholarship provided to Jigawa State Indigenes. Additionally, the disbursement of the bursary payment will now take place at the beginning of each academic session when sessions commence.
