Benue Tribunal Affirms Governor Alia’s Election Victory
In a significant ruling, the Benue State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has upheld the victory of Governor Hyacinth Alia in the state of Benue.
Delivering the unanimous decision, Justice Ibrahim Karaye, the Chairman of the three-man panel, stated that the petition constituted a pre-election matter. Justice Karaye further dismissed the petition, asserting that the Tribunal lacked jurisdiction to entertain the suit.
