Motorists and commuters stranded as Dapo Abiodun fails to fix road.

Motorists and commuters at Ayetoro and Lafenwa-Itele, Ogun State, were left stranded on Sunday, September 24, 2023, following the heavy rainfall.

The road that connects Ayobo, Lagos State, to Lafenwa Itele Road was so bad that vehicles and commuters could not move for at least 3 hours.

One of the residents of the area told the Celebrity Telegraph Correspondence that he has been sacked from work for habitual lateness caused by the road, as each time there is a rainfall, he will either miss work or come extremely late.

This has been one of the challenges facing the residents of this area.

Another woman who spoke to our correspondent said she and her family are planning to flee their home until the rainy season has ended, as she was unable to go out to fend for her family because of the bad road.

She lamented the suffering arising from the bad road. She travelled several miles to return home with her children a few days earlier, when it rained.

Recall that the former governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, fixed the road from Ayobo to the bridge that connected Lagos to Itele Road, but the government of Ogun State had failed to complete their own part of the roads.
