NYSC announces batch ‘C’ stream One passing out parade date
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially declared that Batch ‘C’ Stream One Corps members are set to pass out in October. This announcement was made by the Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier General YD Ahmed, during a statement released on Monday in Abuja.
As part of the exit process, Corps members have received a stern warning against embarking on night journeys while returning to their respective families. The NYSC has meticulously planned a series of week-long activities for the outgoing Corps members. These activities will encompass job creation and employment opportunities post-service, and will be facilitated by seasoned officers from both NYSC and the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).
Furthermore, the distribution of certificates is scheduled to take place at the Local Government level on Thursday, 12th October, 2023.
General Ahmed took a moment to commend the invaluable contributions of the Corps members to national development. He particularly highlighted their commendable roles during the 2023 general elections, emphasizing their significant impact on sectors such as health, education, rural development, and various segments of the economy.
In conclusion, General Ahmed imparted words of advice to the corps members, urging them to uphold the core values of patriotism, diligence, loyalty, and self-empowerment which they imbibed during their service period. This counsel serves as a guide for the young graduates as they transition into the next phase of their lives.
