$100m sport arena in Niger. The Niger State Government has announced plans to construct the state’s first sports arena, which will cost $100 million.

Mohammed Bago, the state governor, stated that the sports stadium, which will be erected between Abuja and Suleija, is part of his commitment to sports development in the state.

He made this clear when he hosted a delegation led by the President of the Federation of Public Service Games, Mr. Aluko Amaebi, at his residence on Saturday.

Bago said the facility is part of his commitment to sports development by providing the necessities needed to enhance the sector, according to the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, in a statement on the visit.

Ibrahim claimed that the governor, who introduced the sporting kits for Niger State’s 42nd Federal Civil Service Games, hailed sports as “an important element in the well-being of people” and provided part of the Government House’s sporting facilities to be used for the games.

He expressed his satisfaction that public personnel, known as the nation’s engine room, have delved into sports and offered to help them.

In his remarks, Amaebi stated that the games to be hosted by Niger State will include the whole Federal Public Service, including all federal facilities in the Federation’s 36 states.

He praised Bago’s efforts in sports development and noted that the role he played in the National Assembly spoke loudly.

According to Ibrahim, 10,000 delegates from the Federal, State, and Local Government Civil Services would compete in various sports from December 4th to 14th, 2023, in Minna, the state capital.
