Israel spy executed by Iran. According to the judiciary, Iran hanged a man condemned to death after being convicted of working with Israel’s intelligence services.

According to the judiciary’s Mizan Online website, “the death sentence was carried out this morning against a spy of the Zionist regime in Zahedan prison” in the southeastern region of Sistan-Baluchistan.

The guy was not identified, but he was convicted of “intelligence cooperation and espionage for the benefit of the hostile Zionist regime .”

He was also convicted of “collecting and providing classified information to the Mossad spy service with the intent of disrupting public order,” according to Mizan.

It was not immediately clear when or where the man was arrested or put on trial.

Iran has previously announced the arrest of accused foreign operatives, notably Israel, its regional adversary.

The Islamic republic executed four people accused of working with Israel’s intelligence agencies in December 2022.

Iran does not recognize Israel, and the two countries have been at odds for years.

Iran claims Israel of putting out a wave of sabotage and assassination strikes against its nuclear program.

Iran is accused by the US and Israel of employing drones and missiles to strike US Marines and Israel-linked ships in the Gulf.

Iran, according to human rights organizations such as Amnesty International, executes more people per year than any other country save China.

According to a November report by the Norway-based Iran Human Rights Association, the Islamic republic has murdered over 600 people this year, the largest number in eight years.

Iran typically executes people via hanging.
