Three car thieves have been apprehended by the Delta State Police Command, leading to the recovery of twelve stolen vehicles. According to SP Bright Edafe, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, the arrests were made following a report from a victim whose Toyota Corolla was stolen from Oruwhorun and later spotted along Eku/Warri road. Acting swiftly on the tip-off, DPO Orerokpe CSP Paul Oboware mobilized patrol teams and community vigilantes, resulting in the arrest of one suspect, Dickson Omage, and the recovery of the stolen vehicle along with a master key used in the theft. Further investigation led to the arrest of two additional suspects, Samson Ekwunwa and Kanebi Michael, in Benin City. The suspects are allegedly involved in altering chassis and engine numbers before selling the stolen vehicles. A total of twelve suspected stolen vehicles were recovered from Benin City and Warri. The police urged residents to report any suspicious activities, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and the public in ensuring community safety.
