UK University offers Nigerians £33,150 scholarships

The University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom has unveiled scholarships worth £33,150 (N44.3 million) and travel grants of £4,000 (N5.3 million) for Nigerians and other applicants interested in pursuing a master’s degree in Plant and Health at the institution. The scholarships, known as the David Sainsbury Scholarships in Global Plant Health, cover tuition fees and travel expenses for students planning to study in the UK. The university specified that the scholarships also include a postgraduate researcher stipend, the exact amount of which will be determined later for the upcoming academic session. Applications for the 2024/2025 Academic Session, commencing in September, are currently open. Prospective applicants are encouraged to apply early as the scholarships are limited in number and awarded throughout the year. Eligibility criteria include receiving an offer of a place on the UEA MSc in Global Plant Health and being a national of or domiciled in a least-developed, low-income, or lower-middle-income country or territory. The university assured applicants that additional scholarships will be updated on their website in May and advised them to check for updates regularly.
