Oyo crackdown on advertisers for N650m debt. The Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA) took action against third-party agents and advertising practitioners who owe over N650 million in unpaid advert bills to the state government. Eso-Ajanaku Oludolapo, the Director-General of OYSAA, disclosed this after leading an enforcement exercise in Ibadan. He emphasized that despite repeated encouragements and opportunities for reconciliation, the debt continued to grow, necessitating decisive action. Oludolapo highlighted the importance of accountability and compliance, stating that non-compliance hinders the state’s Internally Generated Revenue. He urged practitioners to settle their debts promptly to avoid disruptions to their operations and warned of potential termination of engagements for defaulters.
