According to an official statement from the team, Sadio Mané will not be included in Bayern Munich’s squad for their upcoming match against Hoffenheim due to “misconduct” that occurred after their 3-0 loss to Manchester City on Tuesday.
Reports from BILD and Sky Germany suggest that Mané, who is 31 years old, got into an argument with teammate Leroy Sané in the dressing room, and allegedly struck him in the face.
Additionally, there has been no public comment from either Sadio Mané or Leroy Sané regarding the reported incident.
Sadio Mané, who won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2019 and has been named African Footballer of the Year twice, joined Bayern Munich from the Merseyside club in June 2022.
Bayern is currently leading the Bundesliga, Germany’s top football division, with a two-point advantage over second-placed Borussia Dortmund.
The team’s upcoming match against Hoffenheim is scheduled for Saturday, while the second leg of their Champions League tie against Manchester City will take place in Munich next Wednesday.
