Omoluabi caucus welcomes new members
Omoluabi Progressives, a faction within the All Progressives Congress supported by former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, has recently inducted new members during its monthly meeting.
Receiving the newcomers, Aregbesola encouraged them to return to their wards and recruit more members into the group. According to a statement from the caucus spokesperson, Oluwaseun Abosede, obtained in Osogbo on Monday, Aregbesola described the new members as valuable and resilient politicians.
The statement quoted Aregbesola saying, “I urge you all to go back home and work diligently to mobilize key political figures and grassroots politicians into our fold. The essence of Omoluabi lies in our character, competence, and integrity. This should be our focus.”
He continued, “Everyone must work together to accommodate various interests and make our group more dynamic. I trust you will not let us down. The new members bring value and determination. I believe slow and steady wins the race, and we are on the right path. With God’s help, we will achieve our goals.”
Former Speaker of the Osun House of Assembly, Dr. Najeem Salaam, echoed Aregbesola’s sentiments, urging members to remain committed to the caucus’s agenda. He called on stakeholders to intensify efforts in recruiting more members to the Omoluabi caucus.
Caucus Chairman, Azeez Adesiji, praised members for their turnout during the group’s membership registration. He assured the new members of fairness and encouraged them to enhance their mobilization efforts to help the Omoluabi Progressives reclaim the state in 2026.
