As the Easter festivities approach, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has issued a stern reminder to motorists and other road users to strictly adhere to established road safety protocols. Emphasizing the importance of compliance, FRSC Corps Marshal Dauda Biu emphasized that adhering to these measures is paramount in safeguarding lives and properties during the holiday period.

In a statement released on Saturday, signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Jonas Agwu, Biu extended heartfelt congratulations to Christians nationwide in commemoration of the Easter celebration. He urged all road users to reflect on the values of love and compassion exemplified during the Holy Week and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Highlighting the need for responsible behavior on the roads, Biu expressed concern over the tragic consequences of recklessness, stressing that many lives and properties could have been spared if individuals embraced the teachings of Christ.

Biu urged the public not to disregard safety regulations in the spirit of festivity, emphasizing the importance of continued adherence to these rules to sustain the progress achieved in enhancing road safety.

Additionally, he called upon Christians to utilize the occasion to offer special prayers for the nation, reaffirming the FRSC’s commitment to maintaining its efforts in reducing road accidents.

Commanding officers across the country have been instructed to remain vigilant during the celebrations, providing necessary assistance to the public and promptly addressing any emergencies that may arise.

The FRSC chief emphasized the importance of collaboration from the public in the agency’s ongoing campaigns for safer roads, urging individuals to report any road-related emergencies promptly.
