The training for enumerators and supervisors, which was originally scheduled for April 13, has been indefinitely postponed by The National Population Commission (NPC).
On Wednesday, Dr. Ipalibo Harry, the Chairman of the Census Committee, informed newsmen in Abuja about the indefinite postponement of the training for enumerators and supervisors by The National Population Commission (NPC).
Henry assured that despite the postponement of the training for enumerators and supervisors, the conduct of the population and housing census, which is scheduled to be held from May 3 to 7, would not be affected.
He further stated that the commission was fully prepared to carry out a credible census, as they had already completed the training of quality data managers and other necessary preparations.
The Chairman of the Census Committee confirmed that a new date for the training of enumerators and supervisors would be communicated as soon as possible, following the indefinite postponement.
