During the eight-day Fidau prayer for actor Murphy Afolabi, Muslim cleric and show host Sheik Hammad Alfulanny publicly criticized actress Adunni Ade.

In the midst of his sermon, Alfulanny publicly singled out Adunni and other Nollywood practitioners who had received financial support from Murphy for their upcoming projects prior to his untimely passing.

Alfulanny, a prominent figure in the Nollywood industry, refrained from disclosing the identities of the other stars involved.

However, he adamantly asserted that Adunni must relinquish the sum of N250k.

According to her statement, she purportedly reimbursed the deceased the sum of N150,000, which was tendered to her as compensation for a cinematic part in the year 2021.

In a recent development, the thespian in question has taken to her social media platform to share a snapshot of her financial statement, accompanied by a statement detailing her involvement with the late Mr. Murphy Afolabi. As per her account, the aforementioned filmmaker had approached her in July of this year, seeking her participation in an upcoming cinematic venture.

The individual made an appeal, citing that the production was self-funded and unable to cover my professional fee. However, they expressed a need for my moral support.
