Governor Rotimi Akeredolu
Commissioner says Akeredolu to return home soon. Rotimi Akeredolu, Governor of Ondo State, will shortly return from medical leave.
This was revealed in a statement signed and released on Thursday by Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, the Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation.
The commissioner stated that the governor is in good spirits and would return home as soon as physicians release him.
The statement thanked President Bola Tinubu, APC leaders, other state governors, and well-meaning Ondo State residents for their unending prayers for the governor’s full recovery.
“The Governor of Ondo State, @RotimiAkeredolu, expresses his profound gratitude to the good people of Ondo State for the never-ending evocation of prayers and messages of goodwill for his full recovery and return to good health, soon,” the statement said. This unprecedented outpouring of genuine affection and solidarity has served as a soothing balm and a revitalizing elixir, not only for the amiable Governor to stand on his feet, but also, more importantly, for him to continue his service to the people, particularly the good people of Ondo State.
“The Governor expresses gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and members of his team, all party leaders, his brother Governors, and members of the State House of Assembly for their support.” He is in good spirits and expects to rejoin the people of the state as soon as his physicians deem it appropriate.”
Remember that before leaving for his medical trip, Akeredolu turned over power to his deputy, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the present acting governor of Ondo State.
