Police detain Naira Marley for interrogation
On Tuesday night, the Lagos State Police Command confirmed that it had detained the controversial singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, in connection with the controversial death of his former record label signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
The Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, stated, “Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for questioning and other investigative procedures.”
Earlier that same evening, Naira Marley had announced his return to Lagos to cooperate with the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s death. He expressed his commitment to assisting the authorities, stating, “It’s important I do my part for Imole.”
