Matawalle tells new generals to end insurgency. Bello Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defence, has charged newly promoted military leaders in the Nigerian Armed Forces with putting an end to the country’s instability.

Matawalle issued the charge in a congratulatory statement signed by Mr Henshaw Ogubike, Director, Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Defence, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Abuja.

“The Nigerian people look to you, our newly promoted generals, to end the insecurity that has afflicted certain regions.”

“Your leadership, strategic vision, and dedication will be pivotal in restoring peace, unity, and prosperity to our nation,” he stated.

He emphasised the critical role the newly promoted officers were expected to play in addressing the prevailing challenges of insecurity.

“As you advance in rank, the nation places even more faith in your abilities.” I charge each of you to redouble your efforts and collaborate across services to address our country’s security concerns decisively.

“Your achievements reflect the values of discipline, bravery, and professionalism that define the Nigeria Armed Forces,” he went on to say.

 

He described their promotions as evidence of their steadfast loyalty and distinguished service to the country.

He expressed faith in their ability to lead with honesty, courage, and excellence.

He also underlined President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to providing the Armed Forces with the resources and support they require.
