Mohbad’s management disputes claims of will after singer’s death
The management of the late Mohbad, Ilerioluwa Aloba, refutes allegations that the artist left behind a will, asserting that he passed away without specifying how his assets should be distributed.
Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, expressed shock in a recent TVC interview, insisting that his son had a will. He questioned the validity of the document, emphasizing that a thumbprint, not a signature, was present, and suggested it might have been done posthumously.
In response, Mohbad’s management issues a statement via the singer’s Instagram page, categorizing the claims as “false and misleading.” The statement clarifies that neither the management nor the lawyer has communicated the existence of a will or any thumb-printed document to the family or the public.
The statement further highlights ongoing investigations by the Police Authorities, noting that autopsy results are pending. It dismisses the alleged will, emphasizing that if such a document existed, it would have been registered with the Probate Registry.
Addressing the financial aspect, the management reveals that all accounts controlled by Mohbad have been under a Post No Debit order since September 12, 2023. This measure, in place due to an internal dispute, will be resolved before the accounts are handed over to the family.
