Troops eliminate Three bandits in Taraba operation.
In a successful mission, troops from the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, deployed to Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba, neutralized three notorious bandits. The operation, carried out in Chibi based on actionable intelligence, resulted in the recovery of two AK-47 rifles, a criminal-used motorcycle, and a cache of 40 rounds of 7.62 MM Special ammunition, according to a statement from the brigade’s Public Relations Officer, Lt. Olabodunde Oni.
Oni highlighted that this engagement showcases the troops’ unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security in Taraba. The Commander of the 6 Brigade, Brig.-Gen. Kingsley Uwa, commended the troops for their bravery and efficiency in executing the operation. The Brigade Commander emphasized the military’s determination to rid the state of criminals, ensuring the safety and well-being of the local population even as the troops eliminate some of them.
